Oregon Expungement Lawyers is a service of Huegli Law LLC, a law firm. This Privacy Policy explains how Huegli Law LLC (“I,” “me,” or “the firm”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use this website and my services. Huegli Law LLC is the controller of the information described below.

Attorney-Client Confidentiality

I am a law firm. Information you submit in connection with seeking or obtaining legal services from me may be protected by attorney-client confidentiality and the attorney-client privilege once an engagement is established. An attorney-client relationship begins only when a signed engagement agreement is in place; using this website or submitting information through it does not by itself create that relationship. Where the privilege applies, I treat your information accordingly and in line with my duties under the Oregon Rules of Professional Conduct, in addition to the protections described in this policy.

1. Information I Collect

I collect information you provide directly to me, including:

  • Account information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account
  • Case information: Criminal history details you enter into my eligibility screening and document preparation tools, including charges, dates, case numbers, and court information
  • Contact information: Mailing address, phone number, and date of birth when provided for document preparation
  • Payment information: Payment card details processed securely through my payment processor (Stripe). I do not store full card numbers on my servers.
  • Court and legal correspondence: Letters, notices, and orders from courts and District Attorney offices received at my mailing address on your behalf. Email correspondence from courts and District Attorneys received at your dedicated case email address.

2. How I Use Your Information

I use the information I collect to:

  • Provide eligibility screening based on the information you enter
  • Prepare and file court documents tailored to your case
  • Provide legal services and represent you when you have engaged the firm
  • Process payments for my services
  • Send you service-related communications (account confirmation, filing status updates)
  • Receive, open, and scan court and DA correspondence related to your case and store scanned documents in your account
  • Monitor incoming correspondence to detect DA objections and update your case status
  • Forward original court orders to your personal mailing address on file
  • Improve my services and user experience

3. Data Security

I take the security of your personal information seriously. I implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • Encryption of sensitive data at rest and in transit (TLS/SSL)
  • Encrypted storage of personally identifiable information in my database
  • Secure authentication with hashed passwords
  • HTTP-only cookies with CSRF protection
  • Regular security reviews

4. Data Sharing

I do not sell your personal information. I may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: With trusted third parties who assist in operating my services (payment processing, email delivery, error monitoring), subject to confidentiality obligations
  • Representation of your case: With courts, District Attorney offices, and the Oregon State Police as necessary to file and prosecute your motion when you have engaged the firm to represent you
  • Legal requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or court order
  • With your consent: When you explicitly authorize me to share information

5. Data Retention

I retain your account and case information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. This includes scanned court and DA correspondence, which is stored with the same encryption and security protections as your other case data. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting me. I may retain certain information as required by law, by my professional and ethical obligations as a law firm (including client file retention duties), or for legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information I hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and personal data
  • Opt out of non-essential communications

Some of these rights may be limited where I am required to retain information by law or by my professional obligations as a law firm. To exercise these rights, contact me at info@oregonexpungementlawyers.com.

7. Cookies and Analytics

I use essential cookies for authentication and session management, and analytics cookies to measure website traffic and advertising performance. My error monitoring service (Sentry) may also set cookies for performance monitoring purposes.

8. Changes to This Policy

I may update this privacy policy from time to time. I will notify you of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of my services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
