How expungement works in Umatilla County
Oregon expungement — called “set aside” in the statute — is governed by ORS 137.225. The process is the same in every county, including Umatilla County. The petition is filed with the Umatilla County Circuit Court, a copy is served on the Umatilla County District Attorney, and an Oregon State Police background check is submitted.
If no one objects within 120 days, the judge may grant the set aside. Once granted, the conviction is sealed and removed from most public records.

Oregon eliminated the court filing fee, so the only out-of-pocket costs are the Oregon State Police background check ($33) and fingerprinting ($15–$40).
